PORTO RICO DOES NOT WANT PROHIBITION

Annoyed by statements recently made to the United States Congress to the effect that Porto Rico spends $14,000,000 a year for liquor, and by the efforts of prohibitionists to put the island on the water wagon, the native legislators have introduced in the Porto Rican legislature a resolution asking Congress to refrain from interfering with the island’s excise measures.
